Squish - our fastest adoption ever

Well, Squish hadn’t even been here 48 hours and we had gotten the call that she has been adopted. Fortunately (in a way), we’re in the middle of a snap 3-day lockdown meaning that Squish gets to stay with us until Saturday and we’ll be working from home until then.

She has really come out of her shell in the short time that she’s been here. As you can see from the photos and video, she is happy relaxing in front of us and is loving the pats and attention.

Poor little Emmy is still a bit nervous - she’s mostly hanging out under the scratching post. She loves the pats though and so every time that she gets pats she pulls herself forward to get more pats. And for a little girl, she does have quite the motor with her purrs. My best guess from what I have observed is that she’s still lacking in confidence around Squish so it will be interesting to see how Emmy responds once she’s got the space and us to herself.

I haven’t really tried to take any photos of Emmy - it’s a bit dark under there so we’ll give it a few more days to come out for some better lighting.
